Our client is seeking an experienced Welder for permanent, full-time employment with potential visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Various locations in Dartmouth and Shearwater, NS
• Workplace: On site
• Salary: $24.00 to $30.00 hourly (to be negotiated), 45 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Day, Night, Overtime
• Vacancies: 6

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air)
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 3 to less than 5 years
• Certificates: Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate

Work Environment

• Cold/refrigerated, Confined spaces, Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Dirty
