Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Veterinary Technician who can potentially benefit from immigration support and apply for LMIA visa jobs in Canada. We welcome applications from Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Victoria, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $23.00 hourly, 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Conditions: Day shifts
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
• Assist veterinarian before, during, and after surgery
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of the veterinarian
• Administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
• Identify livestock and counsel clients on animal health care
• May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties
• Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
• Provide wound and bandage care

Qualifications

• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Languages: English proficiency required
