Job Overview
Our client is seeking candidates for a position that requires English language proficiency. A secondary school graduation certificate is mandatory. Experience in a related field is considered an asset.
Work Requirements
– Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option for remote work.
Responsibilities
Tasks
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
- Load and unload goods.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Pay and receive payments for goods.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods.
Credentials
Certificates and Licenses
- Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
Experience Requirements
Documentation Knowledge
- Bill of lading.
- Driver logbook.
- Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
- Trip reports.
Type of Trucking and Equipment
- Tractor-trailer.

- Criminal record check.
- Driving record check (abstract).
- Drug test.
