Our client is seeking applicants for a driving position. This role requires on-site work, and candidates can include Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support is potentially available for qualified applicants.

Work Location

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Mountain driving expertise
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Credentials

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Documentation Knowledge

• Driver logbook
• Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
