Our client is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver. Visa sponsorship may be considered for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Location: Mississauga, ON
• Salary: $34.25 per hour / 35 to 45 hours per week
• Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work conditions: On the road

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• Travel: Frequent or constant travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Credentials

• AZ class license required
