Overview

Our client is looking for dedicated truck drivers to join their team. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Keremeos, BC
• Salary: $30.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Location: On-site
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• English language proficiency.
