Job Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join their team. The position offers immigration support and is open to other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Milton, ON
• Work Location: On the road
• Salary: $28.50 per hour / 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.
