Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Truck Driver for permanent, full-time employment. This role is open to candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and immigration support may be provided for qualified applicants.

Job Details

• Location: Brandon, MB
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated), 30 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time
• Vacancies: 1

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed.
• Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Certificates, Licences:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
