Overview

This is a permanent, full-time position for a Truck Driver based in Surrey, BC. The employer accepts applications from Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents, and other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• Languages: English
• License: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
