Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Truck Driver to join their team. This position offers visa sponsorship opportunities for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Orléans, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.00/hour, 40 to 60 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Weekend shifts available
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Language: English
• Certificates and Licenses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
• Experience: Will train
• Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook
• Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)
