Our client is seeking experienced truck drivers. Visa sponsorship is potentially available for suitable international candidates.

• Location: 2311 90B Street SW, Edmonton, AB, T6X 1V8
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.00 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Work Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• Work Environment: On site only; remote work not available

Responsibilities

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Pay and receive payments for goods
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of the cargo

Experience and Specialization

• Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Driver logbook, Inspection reports
• Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer
• Transportation/Travel Experience: Long-haul, National, Provincial/territorial, Short-haul
