Truck Driver Position

Our client is seeking experienced truck drivers. Visa sponsorship is potentially available for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Work Location: On the road
• Salary: $35.04/hour, 35 to 44 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Availability: Overtime required; early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend, and on-call shifts may be needed.
• Vacancies: 3 vacancies

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Mountain driving expertise
• Professionalism in customer service
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and other documents for transporting cargo internationally
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect equipment
• Handle payments for goods
• Perform inspections and oversee vehicle operation
• Communicate with central dispatch
• Document cargo information and hours of service
• Ensure safety and security of cargo

Credentials

• AZ class license

Additional Information

• Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity check, Drug test.
• Transportation/Travel: Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel cross-border, overnight, and for extended periods.
• Work Conditions: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, attention to detail required.
• Personal Suitability: Excellent communication skills, organized, reliable, and a team player.
