Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Truck Driver. Visa sponsorship options may be available for overseas candidates, including LMIA support, PNP, or other immigration pathways.

Job Details

• Location: Debert, NS
• Workplace Information: On site
• Salary: $55,000 to $73,000 annually (To be negotiated), with work hours ranging from 35 to 70 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 20

Responsibilities

• Provide professionalism in customer service
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials
• Inspect and oversee the condition of the vehicle
• Perform vehicle inspections (pre-trip, en route, and post-trip)
• Conduct preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo

Qualifications

Certificates and Licenses

• AZ class license
• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Experience

• Experience is an asset

Skills and Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willing to travel cross-border and for extended periods
• Attention to detail and ability to sit for long periods
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Reliability and organizational skills
