Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Truck Driver for a permanent, full-time position. We welcome applications from other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support may be considered for suitable candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Calgary, AB
• Salary: $36.00 per hour
• Work Location: On-site
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, overtime required
• Vacancies: 4

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

• Will train.
• Long-haul and provincial/territorial transportation experience preferred.

Credentials

• AZ class license required.
• Valid passport.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Attention to detail.
• Large workload; physically demanding.
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks and sit for extended periods.
• Weight handling of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
