Our client is seeking a truck driver in Brampton, ON. Visa sponsorship may be considered for international applicants.

Job Details

• Location: Brampton, ON
• Salary: $36.10 hourly (40 to 60 hours per week)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 5

Responsibilities

• Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Pay and receive payments for goods
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
• Transport and handle dangerous goods

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• Certificates: AZ class license
• Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
• Communication systems experience: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment
• Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence
