Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Transmission Line Regional Manager for the Western Canada region to work in eGRID. This role involves securing and delivering Canadian transmission projects while supporting global initiatives. The successful candidate can work from offices located in Mississauga, Vancouver, Montreal, or Winnipeg.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer high voltage overhead transmission lines from conceptual design through to construction.
• Support existing clients in Canada, the US, and globally.
• Lead and further develop the transmission team in Canada.
• Secure projects and Master Service Agreements (MSA) with key clients in Canada.
• Write technical papers and present at conferences.
• Support business development and prepare proposals for new work.
• Conduct site visits, factory visits, and client engagement meetings.
• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project execution plans.
• Manage the execution of transmission projects and address project-related issues.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer registered within Canada or ability to obtain registration.
• 15 years of experience in the design of transmission lines.
• Strong proficiency using PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER).
• Familiarity with civil and structural design aspects for transmission lines.
• Understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for transmission line design.
• Experience with GIS software packages like ArcGIS is an asset.
• Collaboration and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
