Job Overview

Our client is seeking a System Control Centre Operator – Electrical Power Systems. We welcome applications from international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, as immigration support may be available for qualified applicants.

Job Details

• Location: Ajax, ON
• Work Location: On-site
• Salary: $50.44 per hour (40 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime available

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
• Complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams
• Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
• Assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
• Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs
• Maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
• Operate automated or computerized control systems
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures
• Manage the operations of electrical power distribution systems

Education and Experience Requirements

• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
• Experience: 3 to less than 5 years
