Job Details

Position: Software Engineer (with some duties as a Systems Designer – Hardware)
Location: Victoria, BC
Work Location: On site
Salary: $52.50 hourly
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week

Overview

Education: College/CEGEP
Experience: 3 to less than 5 years
Languages: English (Mandarin is an asset)
Work Site Environment: Real estate
Eligibility: Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents of Canada, and other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document users’ requirements
• Coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems
• Evaluate user feedback
• Plan every step of the integration of a computer-based system
• Prepare a plan to maintain software
• Synthesize technical information for every phase of the cycle of a computer-based system
• Upgrade and maintain software
• Set up machines and equipment
• Install, test and adjust safety control devices
• Supervise team members
• Research, evaluate, and integrate network system and data communication hardware and software
• Write, modify, and test website-related code
