Job Details

Our client is looking for a Shift Manager for their fast food restaurant in Toronto, ON. This position offers visa sponsorship for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Hire food service staff.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
• Prepare budget and cost estimates.
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
• Prepare and submit reports.
• Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys.
• Establish work schedules.

Supervision

• Supervise 5-10 people, including cooks and food service counter attendants.

Work Conditions

• Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and walking.

Job Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
• Languages: English.
• Work setting: Restaurant.

Compensation

• Salary: $19.00 hourly.
• Employment type: Permanent, full-time.
• Hours: 35 hours per week.
