Overview

Our client is seeking skilled Senior Software Developers specializing in mobile applications for both iOS and Android. This role requires designing, coding, and testing mobile applications following best practices to meet the requirements of Ontario’s digital credential standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Maintain the Digital Credential Wallet mobile application, integrating components developed by other jurisdictions and the Open-Source community.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users in a timely manner.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Assist in integrating the mobile application with other platforms.
• Implement security fixes and patch updates.
• Document code, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Mobile Development – 30%

• Experience with commercial-grade mobile applications using native languages (Objective-C / Swift, Xcode or Java with Android Studio).
• Strong experience in multithreaded applications.
• Understanding of mobile OS architecture, memory management, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with scalable UI development across various screen resolutions.
• Knowledge of continuous integration processes.
• Must have apps published in the Apple or Google store.
• Experience developing Native and Hybrid apps with iOS/Swift, Android/Java, React Native/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with digital wallets and secure payment technology.
• Experience utilizing device capabilities like camera, Bluetooth, and accelerometer.

Digital Trust and Verifiable Credentials – 40%

• Experience developing mobile solutions with Hyperledger Aries and Indy.
• Knowledge of React Native, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related frameworks.
• Experience working with APIs and API Gateways.
• Familiarity with W3C verifiable credentials model, decentralized identifiers, and zero-knowledge proofs.
• Knowledge of digital identity standards and frameworks.
• Experience with Node.js, Dot Net Core, and Python.

Back End – 15%

• Experience with Java, NodeJS, RESTful APIs, and SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with API management tools and cloud-based environments.
• Experience in distributed and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of PKI security, messaging systems, and shell scripting.

Team Contributor and Agile Experience – 15%

• Experience in developing technical documentation and Agile methodologies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Skilled in testing and test case development.
• User-centered design approach to solve real problems.

Must Have

• Experience with commercial-grade mobile applications using native languages.
• Published apps in the Apple or Google store along with digital credentials experience.
• Knowledge in developing Native and Hybrid apps across iOS/Swift, Android/Java, React Native/TypeScript.
• Experience with Java, NodeJS, and RESTful APIs.
