Overview

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
• Assign sales workers to duties
• Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
• Authorize payments by cheque
• Order merchandise
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Establish work schedules
• Sell merchandise
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
• Resolve issues, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
• Oversee payroll administration
• Conduct performance reviews
• Supervise office and volunteer staff

Skills and Qualifications

• Computer Knowledge: MS Outlook
• Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads
• Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to stand for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling
• Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, organized, reliable, strong communication skills, ability to multitask, team player
