Our client is seeking a Roofer to join their team. Immigration support is potentially available for international applicants looking for LMIA visa jobs in Canada. This position requires working on various locations primarily in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.

Job Details

• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $29.00 hourly, for 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend

Responsibilities

The Roofer will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
• Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials.
• Repair or replace shingles, shakes, and single-ply roofing systems.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and other masonry surfaces.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Erect and install scaffolding and other working platforms.

Working Conditions

The work environment is physically demanding and fast-paced with the following conditions:

• Must work at heights.
• Noisy and outdoors.
• Heavy lifting required (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Language Requirements: English
• Personal Suitability: Dependability, Reliability, Team player
