Overview

This position involves working at heights and in various site conditions, including noisy and dusty environments. The job is physically demanding and requires bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, and the role involves physical exertion.

Experience Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in roofing work.
• Specialization in shingled roofs, built-up systems, and tiled roofs is preferred.
