Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled roofer for various locations in Canada. This position is open to candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. We offer potential visa sponsorship options for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Various locations including Surrey and Burnaby, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $30.50 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Full-time, Term or contract

Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms

Qualifications

• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: Will train

Work Conditions

• Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely
• Work site environment: At heights
• Work conditions: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling
• Personal suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, reliability
