About the Role

The Retail Buyer will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Studying market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials
• Arranging products according to planogram
• Establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers
• Maintaining adequate stock levels
• Negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
• Overseeing distribution of merchandise to outlets
• Providing customer service
• Reviewing requirements and determining quantity/type of merchandise to purchase
• Selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale
• Supervising work of other buyers

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year

Languages

• English
