Responsibilities
- Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
- Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Evaluate daily operations
- Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
- Monitor revenues to determine labour costs
- Monitor staff performance
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Recruit staff and set work schedules
- Supervise and train staff
- Determine types of services and implement operational procedures
- Balance cash and complete related forms
- Conduct performance reviews
- Enforce liquor legislation and health and safety regulations
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers
- Participate in marketing plans
- Address customer complaints and provide service
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Certificates: Serving It Right Certificate, Food Safety Certificate
