Our client is seeking a qualified Restaurant Manager for a full-time, permanent position. Candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit are welcome to apply. Immigration support is potentially available for the right candidate.

Job Details

• Location: 1300 King St E #32, Oshawa, ON, L1H 8J4
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $25.00 to $38.00 hourly (to be negotiated), 40 hours per week

Overview

• Educational Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience Required: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Languages: English

Responsibilities

• Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
• Evaluate daily operations
• Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
• Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
• Monitor staff performance
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Recruit and train staff
• Set staff work schedules
• Supervise staff and conduct performance reviews
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Participate in marketing plans and implement them
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns and provide customer service

Support for Employment Groups

• Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in programs that assist with settlement and integration, including language training and social services.
• Support for Youths: Offers training and mentorship tailored to youth.
• Support for Indigenous People: Provides mentorship and cultural competency training.
• Support for Visible Minorities: Implements hiring practices to promote equity and offers mentorship programs.
