Our client is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager. Visa sponsorship may be considered for suitable candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Salary: $30.00 per hour, 30 to 40 hours per week

Role and Responsibilities

Key Tasks

• Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits.
• Develop budget to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, and cleaning supplies.
• Evaluate daily operations and modify food preparation methods based on the restaurant budget.
• Monitor revenues to determine labour costs and staff performance.
• Plan and organize daily operations, recruit, set schedules, supervise and train staff.
• Balance cash and complete financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and liquor legislation.
• Negotiate with suppliers and clients for catering and facility usage.
• Participate in marketing plans and manage events.

Supervision

• Supervise teams ranging from 3 to 20 people, depending on needs.

Work Conditions

• Fast-paced environment with a substantial workload.
• Physically demanding, with requirements for attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to work overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Skills Required

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Client-focused with a dependable and flexible approach.
