Your Opportunity:

This position will be part of our client’s Primary Care team. The Health Link Team has an opportunity for an energetic, passionate, and experienced Registered Nurse looking for a change in how care is delivered. In this role, you will utilize your robust communication skills, extensive nursing knowledge, and diverse work background.

As an essential part of this provincial health team, you will be responsible for providing telephone triage services, offering health advice and information to callers across Alberta. Utilizing clinical software, diverse databases, and clinical protocols, you will evaluate, triage, and counsel patients dealing with diverse and often intricate concerns. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while ensuring their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.

You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. Additionally, you will provide safe, quality patient-and-family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.

Please Note: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58/hour, with a potential adjustment upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of specific courses is required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have:

• A minimum of three (3-5) years recent experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting, including high levels of independent assessment and triage skills.
• Recent experience working with diverse client populations and clinical issues, including young families and seniors.
• Ability to manage stress in a high call volume contact center and work comfortably with various computer databases.
• A minimum typing speed of 35 WPM and intermediate computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience in nursing telephone triage and mental health training is also preferred.
