Role Description

The Full Scope RN acts as a team lead and is responsible for the overall care and well-being of residents in our care home. Under the direction of the Director of Care, the RN provides care to residents within best practices as per their professional scope. The RN utilizes their skills and knowledge to:

• Perform ongoing assessments
• Create and manage care plans
• Provide personal care, wound care, and nursing procedures in accordance with policies and best practices
• Coordinate care in collaboration with families, communities, and other healthcare team members

This role may also include working with our team of community nurses to provide care to patients in their homes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduation from a recognized program for Registered Nurses
• Current registration with CRNBC
• General capability to perform the role of an RN
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient care requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Criminal record check
• Medical certificate stating physical and mental fitness to work
• TB Screening
• Empathy, patience, and tact
• Knowledge of the Resident Bill of Rights
• At least five (5) years of experience in nursing and two (2) years in senior/complex or community care (preferred)
• Preference for candidates available for day shifts on some weekdays and weekends

• Pay: From $50.00 per hour
