Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality resident care and ensuring the well-being of the residents.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the assessment and planning of resident needs, delivery of skilled procedures, medication administration, and documentation in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements, and our client’s standards.

How You’ll Succeed:

1. Provide Resident Care and Services

   • Utilizes sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
   • Provides nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures
   • Collaborate with residents or their substitute decision-makers about their needs and preferences
   • Creates, develops, and evaluates a plan of care with residents or their substitute decision-makers

2. Provide Supervision, Assistance & Oversight

   • Demonstrates a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in nursing care delivery
   • Assists with the development and implementation of policies and guidelines
   • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
   • Participates in interdisciplinary team conferences providing care to the residents
3. Provide Leadership and Guidance
   • Acts as a role model for nursing team members
   • Participates and/or delivers in-services and education to other team members
   • Teaches RPN/LPNs and PSWs in relation to new skills
   • Fosters team learning by sharing knowledge with peers

Who You Are:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent
• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
• Knowledgeable in nursing processes and current trends in geriatric care
• Compassionate and dedicated to supporting seniors
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Demonstrated administrative and computer skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to set priorities and organize work based on patient needs
• Proficiency in both official languages, French and English, is an asset
