Our client is one of Canada’s leading clinical, research, and teaching hospitals, treating more than 700,000 patients annually. The facility features a busy tertiary care level I emergency department that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This large tertiary Trauma Centre provides opportunities for a broad base of emergency nursing, from Pediatrics to Trauma Care. Registered Nurses within the Emergency department work in a state-of-the-art facility utilizing an electronic tracking system, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for emergency patients. Decisions are made in a collaborative multidisciplinary health care team environment. In this role, you may be required to work in all areas of Emergency at the discretion of the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse. Working with us is about making a difference. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.
Please note: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with relevant guidelines.
In this position, you will be on your feet for extended periods of time (both walking and standing), and you must be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning of patients. You will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment.
