Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager of the Emergency Department and OP IV Therapy and Women’s Health Clinic, the incumbent will work with patients of all ages in the IV Therapy Clinic and female patients seeking obstetrical and gynecological care in the Women’s Health Clinic. The role involves performing a variety of nursing-related duties as the ‘front line’ representative in delivering care within the Ambulatory Care Clinics. This includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care within a multidisciplinary team based on a primary health care model. The incumbent must demonstrate strong leadership, judgment, and decision-making skills, and the ability to engage in inter-professional collaboration.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your role will involve utilizing nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, alongside teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and their families. You will support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance while providing safe, quality, patient and family-centered care.

Compensation:

Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon registering as a Registered Nurse, the rate of pay will be adjusted according to the established pay scale.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• If not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of required free courses is necessary.

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years recent Women’s Obstetrical Health/Fetal Health Surveillance experience required.
• Knowledge of IV initiation and maintenance required.
• Competency with medication administration required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current experience with wound care and dressing changes is preferred.
• Ambulatory Care experience is preferred.
• Connect Care Experience is preferred.
