Your Opportunity:Our client is dedicated to enhancing care in the community, helping people be healthy, well, and independent in their homes and communities. Edmonton Zone Continuing Care provides services through five main program areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services, and Palliative Care. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Home Living team to provide professional support services in the homes of clients of all ages and stages of life. As a self-directed team member with Continuing Care in the Edmonton zone, the Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the healthcare team and has responsibilities, including assessment of needs, delivering appropriate therapeutic nursing services within professional practice standards, coordinating resources, establishing goals for client delivery, and evaluating outcomes. In addition, this position provides case management as well as direct client care that meets established clinical standards and is evidence-based and client-centered. In collaboration with family and other partners, the Registered Nurse acts as a consultant on the team providing clinical expertise and direction to other team members regarding client cases, developing a care plan, based on those unmet needs, using the appropriate internal and external resources. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for participating in staff development and mentoring student clinical experiences.
Description:As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.
Compensation:PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the applicable rate of pay according to the relevant agreements.
