Our client is dedicated to enhancing care in the community, helping people be healthy, well, and independent in their homes and communities. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Supportive Living team to provide care and support to adults and seniors residing in congregate living settings. Supportive Living is a non-institutional alternative for those who are no longer able to live in their own home, which focuses on health promotion, well-being, independence, and maintaining functional abilities.

As a self-directed team member with Continuing Care, the Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team and has responsibilities that include:

• Assessment of needs
• Delivering appropriate therapeutic nursing services within professional practice standards
• Coordinating resources
• Establishing goals for client delivery
• Evaluating outcomes
• Case management and direct client care that meets established clinical standards
• Collaborating with family and other partners to provide clinical expertise and direction

Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your role will include:

• Utilizing nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
• Teaching, counseling, and advocating on behalf of patients and their families
• Playing a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion
• Providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care

Compensation for Provisional Permit Holders shall be $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon registration as a Registered Nurse, the pay rate will be adjusted according to applicable agreements.

• Hours per Shift: 7.75
• Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends
• Minimum Salary: $43.26
• Maximum Salary: $59.21
• Vehicle Requirement: Driver’s License, Vehicle Required

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of required courses is necessary

Additional Required Qualifications

• Two years of recent nursing experience or a refresher program within two years
• Self-directed and the ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Physically capable of performing nursing tasks, including lifting and carrying medical supplies

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, relevant skills and experience will be considered
• Palliative care experience
• Previous Continuing Care and/or geriatric experience
