Your Opportunity:
Make a difference in the lives of children and families by joining the team at our client’s pediatric unit. This unit is a 27-bed facility accepting patients from birth to 18 years of age. Patient populations can include general pediatric medicine, neurosurgery, neurology, burns, nephrology, and urology. As a Registered Nurse (RN) on this unit, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for the aforementioned patient population. Opportunities for professional growth include participation on unit-based education and safety committees, motivation committees, and involvement in various initiatives, as well as senior skill certification and knowledge acquisition. You will have the opportunity to work to your full scope of practice.

As the RN, you will provide ongoing assessment, care, education, and coordination of services to children, youth, and families. This includes assessing physical, psychological, and social needs, and planning appropriate interventions. The RN will participate in a multidisciplinary team while working both independently and collaboratively. You will practice in a manner that supports family-centered care and will be expected to be a collaborative partner in providing teaching to patients, families, students, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders. Develop your pediatric skills while working in a supportive learning environment. This unit provides a variety of opportunities for growth and learning in a fast-paced pediatric environment. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will deliver safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.

• Minimum Salary: $43.26
• Maximum Salary: $59.21

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of specific online courses is required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of nursing practice experience in pediatric acute care within the last five years.
• Participation in unit or hospital-based initiatives and committees.
• Care experience with infants, children, and adolescents.
• Experience with pediatric medicine, seizure monitoring, nephrology, burns, and urology.
• Minimum of 6 months current experience on the pediatric unit.
• Completion of PALS and other relevant pediatric courses.
