Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing equipment, materials, or business services, and will also assess requirements to develop purchase specifications. This position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services
• Assess requirements to develop specifications for purchasing
• Negotiate offers from suppliers
• Consult with suppliers effectively
• Hire, train, and supervise staff
• Review quotations and establish delivery schedules
• Monitor delivery progress and resolve issues with clients and suppliers

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Team player with strong time management skills
