• Salary: $281,407 to $496,327 annually (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours
• Vacancies: 2 vacancies

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry; Geriatric psychiatry residency programs
• Experience: Experience in the field is an asset

Responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
• Diagnose psychiatric disorders
• Prescribe medication and treatment
• Treat diseases and psychiatric disorders
• Advise patients on health care
• Participate in health care policy and planning
• Consult with other medical practitioners
• Provide counseling and support to patients and families
• Provide emergency care and acute management
• Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
• Help patients develop healthy habits

Credentials

• Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
• Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
• Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
