Overview

Our client is a global consulting firm providing environmentally advanced and technology-powered solutions for the oil and gas, power, and infrastructure industry. We are seeking a Project Manager for Operational Technologies including Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Energy Management System (EMS) to join our Digital team.Our Digital unit delivers IT/OT expertise and solutions to best address client needs and has a proven track record supporting utilities in the deployment of complex operational technologies. We have broad capabilities for IT/OT project delivery while being highly specialized to meet the needs of each individual client. We are the trusted advisor and implementation partner for electric and gas utilities undergoing digital transformation and can offer deep experience across utility OT systems.The Project Manager will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain. The Project Manager should have in-depth knowledge with any of the major EMS, SCADA, ADMS systems including: OSII, GE, ABB, Schneider, and Siemens.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as a champion to foster a positive project work environment; successfully leads the team to accomplish all project objectives on time and within budget.
• Manages various levels of communications with project stakeholders.
• Oversees offshore and onshore technical project resources.
• Controls project schedule, resourcing, and financial reporting.
• Executes change management processes in line with delivery contract and communication plan.
• Utilizes project management methodologies and practices such as task and quality management, project estimation, manpower and budget planning.
• Maintains project plans, documents, and timelines.
• Governs the Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions (RAID) log.
• Develops and reports project status and analyzes progress relative to project milestones.
• Creates workflow plans to manage the project from request through systems analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, and client migration.
• Plans, prepares, and tracks project schedules and budgets to assure controlled completion of each project step.
• Gathers and analyzes status for project deliverables.
• Leads project meetings and workshops.
• Creates presentations for all levels of the organization.
• Leads project close-out process.
• Maintains forecasts to assure that schedule compliance and desired results are achieved.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the utility domain.
• Previous experience managing large-scale, multifaceted Operational Technologies projects in an electric or gas utility environment.
• The successful candidate will be fully knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of the project management Body of Knowledge.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills ranging from addressing C-Level to multiple technical teams.
• Ability to self-direct and work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent team building and motivational skills.
• Excellent budgeting and financial skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Project and MS Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Ability to travel up to 50% or as needed to the client location.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience implementing SCADA, EMS, or ADMS programs, preferably on the technology vendor side.
• PMP Certification.
