About the Role

This is a senior Technical Leadership position within the eGRID unit of the Power division. The role involves the coordination and development of the Power Transmission and Integration team, business development, client account management, and leading or performing planning/feasibility studies, interconnection studies, and systems analysis for clients primarily in North America but also globally.

We are looking for an individual who will take an active leadership role in offerings such as HVDC/FACTs, transmission, substations, and energy storage, working closely with various groups within the Power Business Unit and other divisions on related power system studies and master plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of engineers while ensuring their continuous technical development.
• Oversee the continuous development of the Power Transmission and Integration group, establishing processes, methodologies, and tools for quality and efficiency.
• Engage in business development to generate leads, secure MSA, and prepare proposals.
• Support existing clients globally.
• Perform or coordinate compliance planning/system performance studies.
• Foster relationships with existing clients and identify new market opportunities.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Participate in thought leadership activities such as speaking at conferences, writing technical articles, and promoting expertise in the power sector.
• Coordinate closely with other relevant Business Units for cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the power industry with a focus on HVDC and HVAC.
• Expertise in HVDC & FACTS C&P, AC C&P, and related specifications.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/HVDC transmission projects and various USA utilities, ISOs, and RTOs.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards including NEC, NESC, and IEEE.
• Proven track record in securing work and managing customer accounts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A collaborative team player.
• Registered with relevant engineering associations.

Occasional travel to site locations and customer meetings in North America and internationally will be required.
