Responsibilities
Tasks include:
- Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Repair plumbing fixtures and systems
- Read blueprints and drawings for plumbing layouts
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and fixtures
- Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes
- Join pipes using various techniques
- Test pipes for leaks
- Determine piping system requirements
- Estimate costs and materials
