Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Plumber Apprentice for permanent full-time employment. The employer accepts applications from Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents of Canada, and other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.
Location
On-site location: 28 West 15 Street, North Vancouver, BC, V7M 1R5
Salary
Hourly Wage: $30.50 to $35.50 (to be negotiated)
Weekly Hours: 35 to 40 hours
Responsibilities
- Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Instruct apprentices
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections
- Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe fittings
- Join pipes using various techniques
- Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
- Test pipes for leaks
- Determine piping system requirements and sizing
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other software systems
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications
Qualifications
Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
2 years to less than 3 years of experience is required.
Languages
English proficiency is required.
