Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, our client has a compelling history and a promising future. Though our roots are firmly planted in farming & ranching, the personality today also includes an interesting mix of a hard-working, blue-collar town and a holiday-vibe tourism destination. Much of the local business revolves around servicing the oil & gas sector, while the largest employer in the community remains a key player in the industry. With its proximity to the mountains, adventure, and nature-based tourism opportunities, this area boasts first-class golf courses and a beautiful setting on the Red Deer River, attracting both short and long-term visitors.
As a Physiotherapist II, you will coordinate physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services, providing supervision of students and team members as assigned. You will work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing leadership to other healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include making day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up. You will advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and effective client care.
Your duties will also involve ensuring physiotherapy practice is evidence-based and aligns with legislation, professional standards, ethics, and organizational policies. You will oversee daily operations in an assigned service area, monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs, assisting medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits, and providing feedback to staff. Additionally, you will participate in program development and operational planning, representing the department on committees or programs, making staffing level decisions, and collaborating with managers and other healthcare providers.
Our client is dedicated to supporting Physiotherapists in their practice area and expanding their skillsets regardless of location. All Physiotherapists have access to experienced clinicians across the province and can connect via email, phone, and virtual meetings. As they transition to a new Provincial Electronic Medical Record, clinicians will also share patient information in real time with senior professionals to assist in providing high-quality care.
