Description

As a Physiotherapist II, your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating physiotherapy and allied health clinical services.
• Supervising students and team members as assigned.
• Working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Making clinical decisions based on patient/family needs related to assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up.
• Advising team members on complex clinical cases and providing clinical leadership within the program.
• Ensuring physiotherapy practice is evidence-based and compliant with Alberta laws and professional standards.
• Coordinating daily operations and monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs.
• Participating in program development and operational planning while representing the department on committees.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program, or a bachelor’s degree with related experience.
• Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Effective self-management skills and demonstrated initiative.
• Able to work efficiently in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in providing physiotherapy interventions in an acute hospital setting.

Please note this position is physically demanding and requires repetitive lifting and transferring of patients and/or equipment.
