Job Overview

Position: Personal Support Worker – Home Support
Work Location: On site at 111 Simcoe Street North Suite 200, Oshawa, ON
Salary: $36.10 per hour for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Availability: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking
• Change non-sterile dressings
• Collect specimens
• Demonstrate infant care to new parents
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Shop for food and household supplies

Job Requirements

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Languages: English
Experience: Will train
