Job Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Orthotist-Prosthetist. We welcome applicants, including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support may be offered for the right candidate.

• Salary: $23.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Day, Flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Design prosthetic and orthotic devices based on physicians’ prescriptions and patient examinations.
• Ensure accuracy of prescription information.
• Enter client data into databases.
• Fit and adjust devices for proper fit and comfort.
• Repair, build, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices or footwear.
• Assemble devices according to drawings and measurements.
• Take body or limb measurements of patients.
• Make and modify plaster casts.

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP
• Experience: 5 years or more
• Languages: French
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists is required.
• Criminal record check is necessary.

• Manual dexterity and attention to detail are required.
• Bending, crouching, and kneeling may be necessary.
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking involved.
• Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, and a team player.
