Job Description

As part of our client’s partnership with the New Grad Guarantee, you’ll work in a clinical unit as a member of the nursing team, following the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Orientation will be provided to equip you with the necessary education and skills certification for your clinical area. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing nursing care plans for patients and their families.
• Reporting on patient progress and collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Applying knowledge and skills obtained during clinical experiences to support excellence in patient-focused care.

Additionally, you will receive support to obtain your Critical Care certificate, with a combined program duration of 23 weeks, including classroom theory, preceptorship, and clinical time.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario; if holding a temporary license, you will be required to provide the date of your NCLEX.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking comprehension).
• Clinical placement in a critical care environment.
• Willingness to take additional courses within six (6) months of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Strong prioritization and critical thinking skills.
• Positive attitude and respect for others.
• Quality-oriented, patient-focused caregiving.
• Open to innovation and change.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Must embody our client’s values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration.
• May be required to travel between all hospital locations.

Additional Information

Hours: Currently days/nights, with eight and twelve-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as per collective agreement (subject to operational requirements).

Salary:
Minimum: $39.07 per hour
Maximum: $56.00 per hour
