Our client is the largest provider of health services in Nova Scotia and is on a mission to achieve excellence in health, healing, and learning through collaboration. About the Opportunity

As an MRI Technologist, you will have considerable latitude for initiative and independent action, responsible for the day-to-day operations of designated MRI suites, including the instruction of students and direction of staff. You will ensure that patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlate clinical history with examinations. The MRI Technologist performs imaging procedures and patient care duties with a strong emphasis on safety.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you meet the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School with a diploma in Health Technology (e.g. RT) and successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technology MRI exams.
• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification.
• Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure is preferred.
• Previous MRI experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in I.V. insertion.
• Ability to make frequent independent decisions and assess diagnostic results.
• Commitment to ongoing knowledge updates on new equipment and procedures.
• Excellent patient care skills with effective communication.
• Computer proficiency regarding patient information.
• Highly adaptable and capable of critical thinking as part of a dynamic team.
• Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours

• Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly.
• Call and shift work required, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly compensation ranges from $38.74 to $46.34. Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
