Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Meat Cutter for full-time permanent employment. We offer potential immigration support for qualified candidates, including options for individuals with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Mississauga, ON
• Work Setting: On site at a meat processing and/or packing plant
• Salary: $17.35 per hour, 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Work Schedule: Morning, Day, Evening shifts
• Vacancies: 3

Responsibilities

• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
• Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
• Wrap and package prepared meats
• Remove bones from meat
• Weigh meats for sale
• Cut poultry into parts
• Cut fish into steaks and fillets
• Grind meats
• Train meat cutters
• Prepare special orders and displays of meats, poultry, and fish products

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: Will train
• Languages: English

Work Environment

• Physically demanding and handling of heavy loads
• Work in cold/refrigerated settings with potential exposure to odours
