Overview

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a relevant field
• Languages: English

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering technical reports or other documents
• Supervise technologists, technicians, and other engineers and scientists
• Conduct studies on the properties and characteristics of materials
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
• Oversee the selection, operation, and maintenance of equipment
• Design plant layouts and production facilities
• Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD)

Credentials

• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association

Experience and Specialization

• Type of Materials: Fibreglass
• Computer and Technology Knowledge: SolidWorks, MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Arduino
• Equipment Experience: Grinding machine
• Areas of Work: Design, project management, research, and development
• Specialization: Green economy sector
